Janet Hartman, former software developer and liveaboard sailor, writes nonfiction articles and essays about interesting places and unique people. 	Janet's "Cairn Mind Meld" story is in Chicken Soup for the Soul: My Dog's Life which was released April 12. She has copies for sale with half of her proceeds going to local animal shelters. 	Janet is a member of N.C. Writers' Network and the immediate past president of Carteret Writers.
